Joseph: "A classic Youth"
Joseph like every other youth was born with great purpose, he has a great destiny to fulfill.
Joseph like every youth today is limited(He was 11th child of His Parent) almost the least,yet with great and promising purpose of God hanging over his life.
The story of Joseph is classic illustration of boy who was loved by both God and His Father(Gen 37:3)
Joseph's Foundation was built on the fear of God , and he gained the trust and love of His Parent.
He Identified His Talent And Gift:
Joseph at the Age of 17 had a Dream (Gen. 37:5-9) , The dream of a future to be birthed. Joseph like every other youth , has a special talent or gift, The ability of Joseph to identify his own makes Him a classic youth. Dear Youth reading, have you identified your gift or talent??? never say i have no gift,i want you to know that every man has been given special gifts from God to do exploit in life(2 cor 4:7), your ability to identify this gift leads you one step to fulfillment.
Your Gift Will Bring Envy:
After Joseph made known his dreams to his brother, he was sore hated and envied among his brethren, Joseph's brethren tried all they could to kill his dream(i.e The gift of God in His Life) (Gen 37:18).
I want you to know that any talent or gift or special feature embedded into you by God will bring about jealousy, envy and even hatred, but if you stand firm in the lord, He will see you through.
He Was Faithful And Discipline:
This is one of the most vital lesson learnt from the life of Joseph. Joseph in the House of Potiphar shows how God is able to keep make his children successful even in a strange land (Gen 39:1-5).
Joseph was faithful to God and to His Master, so he found grace with God and Man. As a youth , we must learn to be faithful, as Joseph was and also be diligent.
Joseph showed a great deal of discipline and self control, when he was tempted with the sin of fornication(Gen 39:6-16). I understand the huge pressure the youths of this generation are facing, with increasing exposure to material and contents, that could make us fall into the sin of fornication, it takes the grace of God to stand and flee from this huge challenge, but i trust God to help us and make us stand till the end In Jesus's Name(Amen). Note: Joseph did Flee from the sin of fornication, we also must not sit, we must take action , to resist the devil (1 cor 6:18).
His Gift Made Way For Him And He Fulfilled His Purpose:
"Only a talent or gift that is used , makes a man great."(Matthew 25: 14-30 ). Joseph even in the prison made use of His talent, He was able to interpret the dream of the king's cup bearer, hence gained His Trust and Attention(Gen 40). God will always present you with the opportunity to use your talents even in the strangest of place or situation, you should however try as much as you can to use it To God's Glory.
Joseph was promoted from Prison to palace, because he feared the lord and used his talents very well, and God's Purpose came to pass in His Life.(Gen 41,42, 43)
Conclusion:
Finally friends, knowing fully well that you have a gift to fulfill your purpose in live, you must strive to maximize and use the gifts and talents embedded in u to the glory of God.
Many Youths today , did identified their gifts, but used them not to glorify God but the devil, their end is always disaster. A talent Identified and Used to The Glory Of God, ends up bringing you to your Expected End.
To use your talent to the glory of God,you must be born-again, give your life to Jesus, confess your sins and let him give you a new Life.
God Bless you, and give you the grace to Fulfill Your Purpose and Become a classic youth For Jesus Christ.
